Hosted by American Asian Pacific Culture Advancement Society and co-organized by the Asian Cultural Center, the American Golden Chef Competition – 2018 Professional Chef Awards Ceremony and Exhibition was held at the Asian Cultural Center on April 24. The event highlighted two features – vocational education and Chinese food culture. The award-winning chefs from China visited the communities and universities in metropolitan Washington, DC area and brought traditional Chinese culinary skills and food culture into local classes for the first time. The exchanges between the U.S. and China catering industries have also enhanced the image of Chinese food abroad.
The awards ceremony was strongly supported by the Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs Office of the DC Mayor’s Office, the Prince George’s Community College, Carlos Rosario International Charter School, etc.
